Yes! Sew ins use only 10% or less of your own hair in the process leaving the majority of your hair free to flow and grow. This method is safely and mindfully attached using zero tension and equal weight distribution. This prevents damage to the scalp. The amount of hair used depends on your own density so too much hair is never placed on one row.

Extension hair can last anywhere from 6 - 9 months with proper care and maintenance. Hot tools, sleeping on wet wefts, chlorine, salt water, inadequate brushing and lack of oiling can shorten the life of extensions. Sew in extensions can be installed once and worn continuously for up to 3 months with monthly express move ups of the wefts. After 3 months they will be removed and reinstalled for another 3 months of wear. You can also opt to just reinstall every 6-8 weeks but this greatly depends on hair density or if you have hidden beaded rows. For many clients that live a great distance away this is usually the best option.

Since the anchor beads are sandwiched between extension wefts it makes it much hard to do express move ups since I cannot easily add in hair to the beads once shedding is combed out.

Absolutely! It is super easy to color your hair while extensions are installed. I recommend doing your first color session prior to your installation that way your hair color is fresh all over. Then you can do touch ups on your roots as needed. When you have Skinny Weft installed, highlights can be done around the wefts on the top, hairline and nape area. If you get a solid root color to cover grays your touch ups can be performed the same day as your tune up. Color is applied first before your tune up to insure full coverage and no missed spots. Bleach touch ups require a full removal so express move ups are not recommended. .

Sew ins can be applied in two ways, Classic and Hidden. If you have very dense hair you don't have to worry about the beads showing when you wear your hair up , however slicked back ponytails are not recommended as you can pull on the beads and create tension which can lead to hair loss. For fine hair the beads can be hidden by sandwiching two wefts above and below the beads.

Yes but with great caution! Extension hair has been processed so it is naturally very dry and needs a lot of moisture. Salt water and chlorine can further dry your extensions and shorten their life span. If you decide to venture into the ocean or pool it is recommended that you first wet your hair in the shower and spray thoroughly with a leave in conditioner before putting it into two bubble braids or low buns. Rinse and shampoo immediately after all water activities. The molecules from water and leave in will help to dilute any salt water and chlorine. However this is not a guarantee that the lifespan of your extensions will be preserved so proceed with caution.

It will feel like you have extra weight on your head. When shampooing and rinsing your hair in the shower I recommend splitting your hair down the middle and resting it on your shoulders to alleviate any heaviness. The first day should feel comfortable yet slightly sore when you rest your head on your pillow. This is due to the new weight and tension on your head. Sew in extensions and hidden beaded rows are installed in such a way that will allow the scalp to acclimate comfortably so that feeling should subside by the second night. You'll find that you don't have to shampoo as often so I suggest just washing the top if your hair gets greasy. Never sleep on wet extensions.

Because every clients needs are unique I use a few different vendors. In order to keep my prices competitive I work with a private factory to provide my own brand of hair. This helps to cut out the middle man! I also work with Hair and Compounds, a US based extension company that exclusively sells to hairstylists and not the general public. Hair and Compounds has their own factory in India and their hair is supplied through Indian temples. This company allows me to supply the most luxurious top of line hair ( personally, the only kind I'll ever wear) to clients who want extensions that mimic the look of their own texture more seamlessly. I use this line mostly for my wavy and curly clients. Both extension lines last up to a year with proper care.

I have a few favorite brands that I love! Kovi , Kesh and the Hair shop are known for good quality extensions. During our consultation I'll help you determine how much hair you'll need and which colors to choose. We can also decide if your wefts will need to be colored to match as well (no britney spears extensions here)

Most people end up getting 2- 3 row packages with 2 rows being the most common. 4 rows is the least common and is typically for people with very thick blunt hair who want very long hair compared to their own. The most popular lengths are 16", 20" and 22". If its your first time with extensions I suggest not overwhelming yourself with all the hair. 2 rows is a great place to start if you want a noticeable transformation.

Once your hair is colored and/or installed on your head it cannot be returned. Its like underwear. However very rarely there might be an instance where we receive a bad batch of hair. If you are caring for you hair properly and doing everything right ( not air-drying, not sleeping on wet hair, no excessive heat, no swimming in the ocean or pool, no alcohol based products or sulfate based products or products containing protein) and the hair extensions start crawling or matting up excessively to the point it cant be brushed out and stay brushed out then I will replace the hair that was purchased from me at no cost. If you purchase hair on your own I am not Liable for anything that may happen to that hair and if it starts to mat and tangle then you will have to go through the company you purchased your hair from. Please note that once hair is colored most hair companies will not accept returns.
